Batteries
This collection contains rechargeable battery cells and related accessories stocked at Vapourium for use with vape mods and other devices that accept removable batteries. Battery selection directly impacts device performance and safety.
Removable vaping batteries are lithium-ion cells manufactured in standardised form factors. The 18650 cell measures 18mm diameter by 65mm length and is the most widely used format in single and dual-battery vape mods. The 21700 cell measures 21mm by 70mm and provides increased capacity and discharge capability, used in newer-generation devices designed for the larger cell format.
Key battery specifications include milliamp-hour capacity, continuous discharge rating in amps, and nominal voltage. Capacity determines how long the battery operates between charges, with typical 18650 cells ranging from 2000mAh to 3000mAh and 21700 cells from 3000mAh to 5000mAh. The continuous discharge rating defines the maximum sustained current the cell can safely deliver, which must exceed the current drawn by the atomiser at the user's operating wattage.
Battery safety is critical with removable lithium-ion cells. Cells must be stored in protective cases when not installed in a device to prevent short circuits from contact with metallic objects. Battery wraps must be inspected regularly for tears or damage that could expose the metal casing. Damaged wraps should be replaced before further use.
External battery chargers with balanced charging capability are recommended over internal device charging for removable-cell devices. Balanced charging ensures each cell in a multi-battery device reaches full charge evenly, promoting cell longevity and safe operation.
All battery products are restricted to persons aged 18 years and over when sold in conjunction with vaping hardware.
