Recycling E-liquid Bottles Pt. 2

Recycling E-liquid Bottles Pt. 2

This isn't the first time I've organised my house only to find my stock pile of old e-liquid bottles. I never know what to do with them, do I throw them in the trash? Or just leave them to build up in a box in my laundry?
So far, I've been doing the latter.

Luckily, I am not the only person at Vapourium who has come across this problem and in an effort to minimise our carbon footprint we have almost finished moving all our e-liquid lines over to PET bottles. This means that we can now collect empty e-liquid bottles in-store to be sent away to a recycling plant to be recycled into a variety of plastic containers used for food packaging and hospitality nationwide. The best part, these products can be recycled time and time again.

How do you recycle your old e-liquid bottles?

  • Rinse them out with warm water, removing all residual e-liquid.
  • Bring them into any Vapourium store.

Unfortunately, we can only recycle our new e-liquid bottles, as pictured above.

We will continue to look into viable options for those of you who are not based in a region we have set up shop. But for now while we're still testing the waters, if you have any PET bottles lying around the house, give them a rinse and bring them into one of our stores located in Timaru, Dunedin and Christchurch!
